I am posting this in staff because I think it belongs here.



I have a way to get posts up and clean up the Xbox section at the same time. We create a group (as in USER GROUP) made up of only members that have played Halo or Halo 2 often enough to know about the info posted. That way we don't get any lame posts or spammers in the section. It's all Xbox Halo and Halo 2 fans only.



In the proposed section, I will mod it,and boot (The Second Coming) will be the right hand man, posting tips for Xbox live, glitches and bugs that can be exploited to give an edge.



This new section will be located right below the Microsoft Gaming forum but be hidden to everyone except who is in the group. Anyone can join the group if they feel they have a strong enough score in live or in multiplayer games or if they have gotten pretty far on Ledgendary.



I will allow anyone in that asks to join the group.



All GM rules apply to this new group, no Racism, just gaming talk.



Anyone can post tips, anyone can post anything about Halo, Halo 2 or Halo/Halo2 on Live.



If this is approved by the upper staff, I will create it myself and move all posts with topics about Halo and Xbox live to that section.



Boot has already agreed, I agree. I just need approval from the staff to make it work.



You guys can come up with a name for the new section and group as you feel fit.

As soon as I saw the title I knew it was going to be a big-ass composition. But never-the-less this is a great idea, if it has just to do with 1 player then ill join, but ill be completely out of it with the live part. This is a very good idea, basically al that xbox has going for it is halo and halo 2 so I say we take advantage of it.

Alright that being said, back to business.



I have created the group and added Boot and Frisco. I posted an announcement in the Xbox forum that the new user group is open and what it is about and how to join it.



All the details are in there. The Group is set up as Private and Hidden and only those that join and are approved will be able to see the new board.



I am moderator of the new board, it's basically a technical board for Halo and Halo 2 and Live players. It's not a place to diss people or rag on them. Members in the Halo Elite are a team. All GM rules apply. If you are caught spamming, you will be removed from the usergroup.

It looks good so far, we can take this thing to the next level maybe. Making a whole category and then have boards like "Halo" "Zelda"

"FF" and such. Could be a good idea.

There is one problem with making usergroups into a Catagory, if the usergroups are to be merged with DGM then they also have to have the same usergroups. This usergroup was intended not to be in the merge. It's set up as private and hidden. The mods I installed will not read forums set up as Private and Hidden.



Its meant to be a Usergroup a special hidden board with its own private memebrs within the GM. I would advise not to get carried away with creating a whole catagory for it. If the Catagory stays, then we have to exclude all usergroups from the merge.



Bob has pointed this out directly in the new usergroup, the only reason bob has access to it is becuause by default all admins can see every board, even private and hidden ones.



Bob did you want to join the Halo Elite user group?
